Uber India Finally Adds Paytm Support in It’s Windows Phone App

Late in the party, but looks like somebody rang in Uber office to tell that Windows Phone still doesn’t have Paytm Support. In it’s todays update to its app, Paytm Support is finally included. While you will see your Indian Credit Card included already, when you choose to add more payment mode, you will see Paytm listed there. Along with this, you also have option to add an International Credit Card for using it in India.

When connecting with your Paytm Account, it matches your phone number and email id combination. If its the same, you will get OTP or One Time Password for you to authenticate Paytm with Uber. Once done, you will see listed there including your Paytm balance.

Prior to this, all Indian accounts on Windows Phone were getting error about invalid payment method, as the only way to add Paytm to Uber was through mobile which is really weird. All this restriction showed up because of restrictions from Reserve Bank of India. Paytm has been doing really well in India and is one of the biggest payment gateway for online stuff.
