Download uBlock Origin Extension for Microsoft Edge

Microsoft’s latest browser, Microsoft Edge, is the closest thing to a true successor to Internet Explorer.  But Edge doesn’t do much to stand out in a market full of competent browsers.  One of the features that Edge does offer, however, is support for extensions.  And while there are a few basic extensions available, many of the best ones are limited to other browsers.  But that’s not the case anymore, as the popular ad blocker and privacy tool uBlock Origin has been updated to support Edge.

What started as a GitHub project now is an official extension available in the store and can be installed and updated directly instead of manual updates.  The interesting thing about the extension is that it uses the same code as its counterpart on Firefox and Chrome, and the credit goes to Microsoft for matching the functions to work on the Edge browser.

If you are looking to remove ads from your Web browser completely, you will want to try uBlock Origin. This simple extension blocks all of the marketing messages that can clutter your browsing experience and make it almost impossible to enjoy the content you want to see. Since the number of ads that can appear on a particular Web page is completely dependent on the page’s creator, uBlock Origin takes power away from these advertisers and into your hands by giving you complete control over the advertisements you see.
