Vein Rush — Biological-strategy Tower Defnese Game; Released Today on Windows Phone
Windows Phone has tons of awesome games and today there is another game releasing — Vien Rush– a tower defense game which is played right in the veins of an infected human body and you need to clear the body from microbes, viruses using towers, medicine and traps.
This game was awarded in polish edition of Imagine Cup and even if it would not have, the game has really impressed us. At first glance it looks like any other tower defense game but after you play a couple of levels, the experience is completely different. Its pretty sure that every element of the game has been given a thought to how it will make a gamer happy and keep him engaged. Interesting to note that all the names of microbes are real, game has lots of biological descriptions and curiosities.

Every level has its story which is around a guy and a girl he is trying to impress. Sadly, every time he tries to get along with the girl he gets into trouble. Sometimes he is shot, bit by a tiger and this results him getting infected. This is where you job starts.
Every level has multiple entry points for towers with one exit and you need to set your towers around the path of the vein to kill the microbes. You have a green tower which can kill every other microbe except the virus. To kill viruses you have another tower. Both of these towers can be upgraded. One upgrade takes you towards sure kill while other brings scattered affect which is very effective for group kill.
Then you have traps, one which can slow down the microbes while other which just blocks. Lastly you have Medicine which can kill microbes and viruses while they are on the way. The medicine refill after you finish one dose.
Strategy:
To my experience what matters a lot is how you use the medicine and towers together. The more you keep killing with medicine, more efficiently the towers and blockers will work together.
First decide where you want to keep the towers, then depending how many microbes are hitting, slow them around the towers and apply medicine. I have sen medicine work best when the microbes are grouped together. This means if you have get them together in one place, you will be able to kill them quickly.
