Viber quits Beta for Windows 10 Mobile, Brings Video Calling & Cortana Support

Viber, a popular messaging service available on all platforms, is now available for all when it comes to Windows 10 Mobile. The company had been testing it in public beta, and with this release, much-needed features are also packed in. It’s a huge update if you have been on the beta, and you should be getting it soon.

Viber for Windows 10

  • Video calls on mobile: This was the most requested feature for the messenger, and if you are a heavy user, you can enjoy video calling.
  • Quick Reply: There is no need to open the app and then answer all the messages. If something is important, you can now reply using the pop-up messages quickly.
  • Cortana Support: A mandatory feature that allows you to use dial or text using Cortana.
  • Like messages in group conversations: Similar to bookmarks, you can now like messages which you love.
  • Share files on Viber: You can now send links, text, photos, and videos on the Viber app using the inbuilt share feature of Windows 10.
  • Others: Quick access to your recent and favorite chats from the Start screen and two new language versions – Russian and Portuguese.

Note: The update is rolling out, and what you might see in the store could be the old version, but it’s coming. Give it some time.
