Video: Nokia Lumia 720 Low Light Image Quality Test

So at MWC, Barcelona Nokia has this booth setup which was about Low light test. I went around that booth twice but always thought it must be about 920 Low light test. However I was wrong big time as it was Lumia 720 low light test.

Now for some reason I don’t remember Stephon Elop talking about low light image quality of Lumia 720. I only got to know when we actually met the product team and the person behind the phone.

Video Test :

I ran to the booth and got hold of the lady who demonstrated the low light image quality of Lumia 720. I was really surprised that this phone could do that.  What was surprising is it does not have same kind of lens as Lumia 920. Below s a video which showcases the Lumia 720 Low Light Image Quality.

Lumia 720 follows the same principle as Lumia 920. Even though they do not use PureView like powerful lenses but they use the right aperture size.  The image sensor technology, the back illuminated technology and software that makes sure to reduce the noise.

Apart from this, Lumia 720 was built to be thin which resulted in design challenge. They wanted to keep the phone think and still make the camera good. Lumia 920 is thick with 8.7 mega pixel camera but Lumia 720 is thin with a 6.7 megapixel sensor.

Now even though Lumia 720 is great when it comes to low light, you cannot expect it to be as good as Lumia 920. This phone is created as an option to users who feel Lumia 920 is heavy but they want a phone with good picture quality.

Apart from this, Lumia 720 has the best Front end camera which uses four lenses. This makes sure more details get into the picture and video calling or taking self-portrait is better.
