Video: Razor’s Project Ariana brings in-room Immersive Gaming using Video Projection System
If the title just gave you a flashback of Microsoft’s Project Illumiroom, then you are bang on. While Microsoft has already made a quit on the idea, Razer has picked it up to bring immersive gaming using a powerful projection system named as “Project Ariana”
Razer has revealed its ambitious hardware which communicates with game ensues un real-time to bring gaming into augmented reality. It uses the concept of RGB lighting, and projects in the whole room to deliver the experience.

Coming to the facts, it uses Razer Chroma™, Razer’s flagship lighting technology, which is the largest RGB platform for gaming with more than 5 million devices sold to date. Some of the world’s top AAA games have integrated Razer Chroma lighting, including “Overwatch” from Blizzard, “Call of Duty®: Black Ops 3” from Activision, “Shadow Warrior 2” from Devolver Digital, and more.
Talking about the hardware, Project Ariana is a high-definition video projector that uses an ultra-wide fish eye lens and advanced processing capabilities to extend the gaming experience into an entire room.

The system is smart enough to adopt the projection of in-game elements to the dimensions and features of the physical environment. A pair of 3D depth sensing cameras together with proprietary calibration software automatically calibrates itself to detect environmental factors such as furniture and room lighting, to provide the perfect display for any room.
