Voice Control your Windows Phone 8 Camera (Lenses)

Starting with Windows Phone 8, a new feature for the Camera as been introduced called as Lenses. These are apps which gets associated with the phone camera to enhance the experience. You may call them like plugins, and you can switch to them instantly without leaving your camera and use it on the fly.

Since there is no inbuilt timer in Windows Phone and if you are taking some photos with awesome Lumia 920 camera, you should get one of these apps. This way you can always be in the picture and you don’t have call somebody for it all the time.

ReadyClick:

This app has three modes, Voice Control, Timer and manual. The voice control is pretty good, and all you need is give the camera to somebody (Enable Grid for better alignment), make sure things are in focus and get back to position to say READY CLICK.

In case the app does not recognize your voice, it takes photos automatically after the second attempt and gives you an instant preview of the photo you just took.

There are also modes in this app where you can set the app to start listening when the camera button is pressed or start the timer. Also in case you want a timer, when the speech recognition fails, you can do that too.

The app comes with a trial version which allows to take around 4-5 photos using all the features. This way you get a clear idea on what the app can do.

Voice Controlled Camera : 

If you are looking for something very simple and instant, this app just does that for you. As soon as you launch the app, it starts the voice recognition and expects you to say Ready Camera or Start Timer.

Some of you might feel that it needs to slowdown a bit, but there are two things you will like about it. It instantly switches between a camera and timer camera and secondly  it clearly tells you that its saving the photos, its been saved or not and its ready to take another photo. This is all done using voice.

The only drawback that it still needs to slow down a bit and bring in some settings like the ready click app.
