WhatsApp Beta for Windows 10 Mobile now supports Video Calling

WhatsApp seems to be bringing Video Calling feature to the Beta version of the Windows 10 Mobile app. OneWindows.de reports that this feature is now available to some of the Beta testers, and have been added via a server-side change, as it did not require a new update to the app.

However, some users had to reinstall the app to get the new Video Calling feature. Now, when you click the call button, we will see that it gives us two options, Voice call and Video Call. Just tap on Video Call and you’re good to go.

The functionality is very similar to any other application, such as Skype or Facebook’s own Messenger. As soon as you place a Video call you will have an option to switch between front and rear camera. The list of calls also has been altered and now shows calls and video calls, as well as add a button to make video calls to a contact.

If you remember, the voice calling feature took a lot of time to come to the Operating System. However, its a very good news for Windows 10 Mobile users as they will not have to wait so long to get a new feature.

This feature is only available to the Beta Version of the app, which is private. We will keep you posted when the feature rolls out publicly.
