WhatsApp Expected to bring Revoking & Editing of Sent Messages
One of the many reasons why many choose other messaging services like Telegram, and Hike is option to have secret chats, self destructive messages, and option to edit already sent messages. Looks like WhatsApp is expected to roll out option which lets users to revoke & edit Sent Messages
Reported by twitter handle @WABetaInfo, the screenshot shows options for the same in the beta version 2.17.1.869. Long press on any of these messages give option to Revoke, Add to Favourite, Reply, Forward and edit. This works for all types of messages including images, and videos. While it is not sure how long the edit option for any message will be available, but IMO it will be limited to few minutes, and not for long hours and days. Which means you will be able to edit only recently sent messages.
Further you will also get to see option to remove status, badge option, and more. Here is the complete change log:
