WhatsApp Starred Messages Makes it to Windows Phone Fans

Popular messaging service, WhatsApp, has rolled out the option to use Starring or Favourites messages in its recent update to the Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile users.  This was recently rolled out to their Android App.

While the changelog is not posted, here are few things which I found to be new.

Starred Messages:

  • You can now mark messages which you think are important. It is convenient when you do searches.
  • Long press on any message and select STAR.
  • To see all these messages, tap the menu bar, and select Starred Messages.
  • To find out how you have starred many messages from a group, check on the Group Info.

Camera Interface

  • It allows one to insert more photos after taking a picture. This is very useful. Before this, the message was sent automatically. (It is a little slow, though).
  • This matches with the Windows 10 Mobile interface.
