Whatsapp Finally Coming to Asha 500, 501, 502,503 Series Next Month

Today, Nokia, along with Whatsapp Inc has officially announced Whatsapp to finally come to Nokia Asha 500 series ( Dual SIM versions) which has been long awaited and we saw some leaks of that sometimes back.

Today at the Nokia World, it was officially announced that Whatsapp will be available next month and will include all the features on any smartphone like voice messaging, video sharing and so on. It will also include the automatic backup so if you switch your phone, you will be able to get all the details.

The best part is that Whatsapp will be available on all dual SIM phone which is where Whatsapp was stuck to figure out how to make it work on dual SIM but single IMEI.

Nokia also announced that with the updated Asha Platform, users will be able to see Whatsapp notifications in their timeline and will be able to share videos, photos and voice messages in one touch.

When experiencing Asha 500, 502, 503 at Nokia World, we did saw the app installed on the phone but since there wasn’t any SIM inside the phone, it wasn’t working.  It is quite possible that when users get their hands on the new Asha, they will have to install it from the store after signing with their Nokia account as they could be just bunch of shortcuts.

That said, it’s a great news that Whatsapp is coming to all the Asha series phone which is the number one question ththat has been asked to us on all related videos. Not to be surprised that many consumers chose otherwise over Asha phone because of the missing Whatsapp application. Good times ahead.
