WhatsApp Coming Soon to Nokia Asha Phones including Asha 501
Nokia’s Asha series is highly popular low end phones in many developing countries. While they do not have the high end capabilities of smartphones, they offer much better features than the feature phones and also comes with support for apps. Nokia had announced the Asha 501 few months back which runs on the Nokia Asha software platform 1.0 and has quite a lot of capabilities.

But one of the main apps which is missing in the platform is WhatsApp. But now it seems that WhatsApp will finally come to Asha Platform. As per the leaked press shot of new Nokia Asha 500, the home screen features the WhatsApp.

Nokia Asha 500 is the upcoming phone in the Asha series which features dual shot shell. As of now there is no details on the specifications of the device, but expect the phone to have similar specs of Asha 501 with Wi-Fi and dual SIM capabilities.
The arrival of WhatsApp will definitely give a boost to the sales of the platform because of the popularity of the messaging platform. We will update the article when we have more details.
