WhatsApp Update brings Custom Ringtone for Calls, Notifications and more
We have heard about features being tested out in WhatsApp beta for few weeks, but today we have a new build for WhatsApp for Windows Phone. This version brings a plethora of updates and some of which you will love it.
The first update is the possibility of selecting a custom ring tone for WhatsApp calls to help them differentiate from the regular calls. This is available under notifications. The second feature is about more control over all kinds of notifications you get. You can now choose to disable sound and vibration notifications for in-app notifications. This should save a lot of battery. This is followed by an option to mute individual accounts. I wish there were a way to do it directly from the group chat.
Apart from these important ones, here are the rest of the features:
- You can now mark chats as unread or read.
- It is now possible to select multiple messages to forward and delete. This was much needed.
- New Emoji with the option to choose the color. You will need to tap and hold.
- Contacts now save quickly and are ready for a chat, i.e., Non-need to wait for WhatsApp to refresh contact.
