Whatsapp Update Brings Pin Chat to Start; Search to Forward Messages & Orientation Lock ( WP7 Only)
Whatsapp for Windows Phone has been update and it brings a couple of interesting features which you guys are going to love. The first improvement is ability to pin a group to you start screen. This is extremely useful for users who keep on covering in couple of favorite groups and would love to if there are new updates and access them quickly. Once pinned to start screen, you will be able to see the count of new notifications. You will also be able to increase text size on per group basis.

Second, while orientation lock is now available for WP8 users via GDR3, the app has rolled out this feature, for the app alone, for Windows Phone 7 users. That’s a great way to show the users that they are not left unattended.
Third, message forwarding options have changed. Now when you want to forward a message, you have a giant search box which lets you search for a contact or group and then forward it to them.

Fourth, there is improvement for voice messaging enhancements which lets you send voice messages way faster than before. This was important because apps like Line has promoted themselves for speedy voice messages.
Others:
- Search through your favorite list to find a contact.
- Scrolling through favorites is smoother than before.
- Supports three more languages –Croatian, Hungarian and Lithuanian.
- Apart from these, there are few bug fixes.
Thanks @_aka_P & @surajdazz for confirmation and tip.
There are many other minor changes built-in the UI which we might not have noticed but if you do, share in comments so we all get to know that. One option which is yet to make is the switch number which we are yet to see on Windows Phone.
