Where is XBox One Launching — Official Countries list
Xbox One announced on June finally has a list of countries where it is launching first, followed by list of countries which are next. Below is the list of countries which just got lucky
- November 2013 : Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand.
- Early 2014: Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland.
There are many countries in Asia like India, which are one of the fastest growing and most profitable market but it looks like they aren’t in the priority list as of now. As far as I have heard, Xbox One will come to India during late 2014.
For many who aren’t aware the reason for the delay in Asian and countries like Japan are many. Lot of work needs to be done localize the Xbox One dash, support voice and language and also develop and partner for local content to each country.
Since long, there are many features that has never worked in countries outside US. I really hope Xbox Team will strategies with TV Channels and Content developers to bring local TV experience to Xbox and make the integration possible so everybody can make use of it.
