Check if you got your ChveronWP7 App Hub Refund (And what you should do, if not)

After ChevronWP7, tool to unlock Windows Phone, was closed down, it was also announced one year free access to Microsoft official App Hub account. Today Chevron WP7 Labs, announced again that some of the users might not have got any refund back which was summed down to one reason :

The email id i.e. Live Id used to register with App Hub and Chevron WP7 Labs were not the same.

Now its is quite possible that some of you might have a bit of confusion and would have used a different email id / live id. To clear off this and make sure you get your refund, the awesome guys behind Chevron WP7 have come out  with a solution which first allows you to check if you were in the list of accepted refund account and if not then a simple solution.

  • To check if you were issued a refund, go to http://wheresmyapphubrefund.com/ and type in your Live Id used in the Chevron WP7 Tools.
  • If you get something like below, take mentioned steps as said.

Your refund was rejected because Microsoft could not find your App Hub account or associate it with your ChevronWP7 Labs account. Don’t panic! Here’s what you need to do:

    1. Go to create.msdn.com and sign in to your account.
    2. Click on your name in the top-right corner, then click Account Info.
    3. Update the Email Address field on this page to match the email used at ChevronWP7 Labs.
(If you need to retrieve or change the email address on file at ChevronWP7 Labs, email us.)
    4. That’s it!

We send Microsoft a new list of eligible customers every month. Check back later to ensure your refund was processed successfully.

Now if, I consider my case, I have the same account in both the place, but I was also one of those guys who got the email id update in Chevron at the very last moment and might have been out of sync. I will be getting in touch with the team again and I will suggest you to do the same.
