Windows 10 FCU is off to a Solid Start, Rocking 5.3% of PCs in a Week
It’s only a week since Microsoft started rolling out Windows 10 Fall Creators Update for PCs, and according to AdDuplex it off to a sold start. Windows 10 FCU is now on 5.3% of PCs. While this figure is surprising, but then it also includes Windows Insiders on Fast Ring and Slow Rings.
Microsoft is rolling out this in a phased manner, which is why the figure surprised everyone, but then this major update has managed to show up on many PCs compared to what we had seen in Creators Update previously. This is result more people, OEMs on board to test during the Insider phase, and looks like it worked out for Microsoft very well.

That said, Windows 10 Creators Update is on over 74% of the PCs, and surprisingly there are around 17% of PCs still crawling on the Anniversary Update. This most probably happened because there were a lot of issues related to the graphics driver, and consumers made a choice to stay put with the first update.
I would strongly suggest everyone upgrade to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, and if the driver creates an issue, you can revert back the driver or pull the update from the OEMs page. One of the primary reason I recommend you to upgrade is the “Anti-Ransomware” feature. It will help you to protect all the files on your computer or selected ones so they don’t get locked up when you accidentally install some ransomware. More here
