Windows 10 for Xbox One Coming This September for Preview Memebers

Microsoft has a unified goal to run one OS on all its platform. Right from Mobile to Desktop and now on Xbox One, the gaming console from the company which had its major announcement today at Gamescom.

What does it mean for gamers like you and me? Expect a full revamp of the interface, plethora of features rolled out, a solid integration between PC, Phone and Xbox and much more. The console will also have the benefit of millions of app that will come through the universal store. So when is it coming ? According to Mike @ Xbox, the company is planning to rollout Windows 10 Update in September, but only for preview members. This makes sense because this is how the current interface of Xbox One came alive, totally driven by community.

Apart from these Xbox Team is also working on :

  • Improved Guide (like 360 Guide) with the new UI for Xbox One. It is fast and gets you to the things you want in a click.
  • Stream recorded TV shows to other devices in your home and schedule recordings while on the go, either via the Xbox app on Windows 10, or through Xbox SmartGlass for iOS and Android.
  • Add, review and edit your scheduled recordings from your Windows 10, iOS or Android PC, tablet or phone while you are away from home with ease
  • Download shows to your Windows 10 phone, PC or tablet so you can watch them on an airplane, on a bus – really anywhere – even without an internet connection.
