Windows 10 Mobile Allows Data Tracking & Limit Setting for Both SIMs

Data Sense, the app which allows you to track your data consumption on Windows Phone, is getting a new feature in Windows 10 Mobile. It’s called as Data Usage now. If you have data enabled on both of your SIM, you will be able to track individual SIM data consumption from the same app. In its earlier version, the app did not have this option in a clear format and with precise control.

Data Usage Settings in Windows 10 Mobile

  • Go to Settings and Type Data Usage on search bar. Tap and open.
  • When the app launches, it will show two mobile instead of one along with Wi-Fi.  This is new. Important to notice, the SIM which is set for default data provider, is first in the list.
  • Next tap on “Set Limit” button under  “Data usage limit”, and you can now choose the SIM and then put data limit along with reset data and other types.

Video Demo:

I am not sure when this was introduced, but I did noticed it in the recent build. In the last build, it just kept crashing. In this build, the settings at least open, but when I go ahead and try to set it up, it exits. We will keep you posted about this when the app stabilises with more details.
