Only these Windows 10 Mobile Devices will Support Creators Update & Future Insiders Build
A while ago we reported that not all Windows 10 Mobile devices will be supported for Creators Update. Today the company has officially listed down the device that will be supported for Creators Update, and Windows 10 Mobile Insiders build, the device list has been announced. These devices are either the new ones or the one with high-end specs.
Below is the list:
- HP Elite x3
- Microsoft Lumia 550
- Microsoft Lumia 640/640XL
- Microsoft Lumia 650
- Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL
- Alcatel IDOL 4S
- Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
- SoftBank 503LV
- VAIO Phone Biz
- MouseComputer MADOSMA Q601
- Trinity NuAns NEO
They clearly said:
Devices not on this list will not officially receive the Windows 10 Creators Update nor will they receive any future builds from our Development Branch that we release as part of the Windows Insider Program. However, Windows Insiders who have devices not on this list can still keep these devices on the Windows 10 Creators Update at their own risk knowing that it’s unsupported.
As expected, and neither there is any surprise, Creators Update doesn’t work well on old generation devices which the Insiders Program gave them the reflection about. I am sure many would be disappointed, but again this is a logical step, and Microsoft never promised Creators Update for those devices unlike Windows 10 Upgrade for all Windows Phone 8.1 devices which did not go well either.
Microsoft also announced new Insider build 16176 for PC + Build 15204 for Mobile. Check out what’s new, fixed and broken on these builds.
