Windows 10 Mobile Redstone to bring Touchscreen & 2K Support for Continuum

As we all are waiting for Windows 10 Mobile Official Rollout, yes you read it right, rumours are going around for next major build, Redstone. According to WINFUTURE, this build is getting tested internally in Microsoft which apart from bug fixes, has improvements for Continuum for Windows 10 Mobile devices.

Microsoft Display Dock Ports

  • The update will include support for touchscreen monitors, and TVs. This will be particularly useful if want to show demonstration or media playback using touch.
  • Support 2K monitors, and improve wireless feature of Continuum. As of now wireless streaming works at 30FPS compared to 60 FPS through Microsoft Display Dock.

I expect Microsoft to bring it one step closer to PC experience compare dot what it is now. No, I am not talking about wallpapers, and screensaver. We need draggable and stackable windows, full drag-and-drop features, soecially with File Explorer. I am ok with using one app at the time, but there is a lot of scope for features to come in, and I am sure Microsoft is already working on it.

Redstone is also planned for Windows 10 PC users, and it will appear in two waves, instead of one wave which was the expectation before. It seems Microsoft wants to make sure that they reach a stable Windows 10 Build on both the device before moving ahead.
