Windows 10 will Let You Use Your Phone As Windows PC, Well Almost

One of the best announcement today at Build is Continuum. A brand new feature for Phones which lets you connect it to any HDMI display, and then use it like a Windows PC. You will be able to use your apps, you can use built in Office to edit documents, Use Outlook to manage emails, and reply to important ones and so on.

Even though it’s not a Full Desktop experience, it’s a brilliant option where you don’t want to get on to a Public Computer to have a big screen or when buying a computer is not an option for you. Imaging this in an Office scenario, where instead of you copying file to a PC which is connected to a projector, you just use your phone and use the document which is already in your Outlook.

Microsoft has worked hard to bring One United Platform for All Windows Powered devices, and this is a classic example on the user experience will be in coming future. Since application can resize according to difference screen size, you will not have to worry about scaling to whichever screen size you connect your phone.

Microsoft also announced an easy way to let developers on iOS and Android to port their apps to Windows and reach out One billion customers.

Joe Belfiore was quick to add that this feature will require new hardware and did not mention whether it will run on older Windows Phones.
