Windows Insiders will Roll Back to Official Production Build when You Leave

One of the most annoying things about Windows Insiders was restoring to original firmware when you leave the program. In its latest update, Windows Insiders now has gained the capability to restore the phone to official production builds through OTA Update. No more downloading the firmware through the Microsoft Device Recovery tool.

It looks like Microsoft is finally going to kick off the official build, and hence the preparation.  We are really close now!

Leave Windows 10 Insider Programme

Here is the list of changes:

  • Show Windows 10 Mobile version instead of Phone build version in About Screen.
  • Fix for a possible provisioning deadlock issue.
  • The leave program will now attempt to provision the phone back to official production builds. When official builds to catch up, the phone will receive compatible official updates again.
  • Several smaller bug fixes.
