Windows Phone Camera to get Video HDR, Software Stabilization, Profiles, etc.
If you are already impressed with Windows Phone 4K recording and Rich Image Editing, Microsoft is honing up to make it lot better and get at par with few in the completion. Looking at the presentations on the Windows 10 driver capabilities, features like Video HDR, Digital Video Stabilization and more have been noticed.
We expect these features to show up in the final version of Windows 10 for Phones. Remember these features could be in total control of the OEM or a user, but we do not know that for sure. Here is the list of features:
- Independent flash control ( Torch)
- Profile
- Extended variable Photo sequence
- Face detection
- Variable frame rate
- Zoom during video capture
- Video HDR
- Square aspect ratio resolutions
Digital Video Stabilization: This will allow all Windows Phone camera to gain image stabilization both when taking a picture or shooting a video. The amount of stabilization will be automatically detected depending on scenarios in which the video gets recorded.
Scene Analysis: This mode will allow camera to automatically select a scene and shoot it by doing a scene analysis. This can be forced or used manually.
Pre optimization hints (Image+video modes): This looks like the advance mode of Smart Sequence of the Lumia camera which can also take videos along with pictures. What you will be able to do is choose which one should get priority or shoot them equally good. So a lot of pictures can be clicked automatically using Face detection.
Smooth zoom vs Direct Zoom: While zoom is already supported in Lumia camera, Microsoft might be improving this using this new concept where either zoom can be quick or fast.
