Windows Phone Posts Growth in Few Markets ahead of Windows 10 Mobile Launch
Although Windows Phone has been for few years now, it hasn’t seen a high increase in its share over the years. The OS has taken lot of time to roll out important features and this has caused the market share to stay stagnant over the years. While some of the markets in Europe did have some decent share for WP, major markets like US and China it was still a very small number.
But according to the latest statistics provided by Kantar for the three-month period ending in September 2015 revealing that it even managed to gain new users in some markets.

As you can see from the chart, Windows Phone has made inroads in China with 2.6 points and now has a share of 3.0%. While this is still a very low figure, it is indeed promising with Windows 10 Mobile around the corner.
Windows Phone also increased the share in France and Australia, but its down in US. With the new flagships, Lumia 950XL and Lumia 950 coming in the next month, Windows 10 Mobile will hopefully see some improvement.
