Windows Phone to Support 3rd Party Dialer Apps as Default in Windows 10
Microsoft today announced support for more devices today, and some screenshot leaked yesterday will give you even more reason to smile. Released by ITHOME, two features will interest you the most. First, is that Windows Phone 10 will open up their support for Third party applications with option to choose spam filter, and second is improvement in the Spartan Browser which will roll out with the next update.
Third Party Dialer Support:
Looking at the screenshot below, you will be able to select your default dealer app on Windows Phone. WhatsApp will soon rollout their voice call feature, which means you will be able to choose it as your default call and SMS application. You will have to give complete access to your phone book to the app to work the expected way.
Spartan Browser Interface to come with Next Update:
While the address bar remains on top with a refresh / stop button on top left, you now have a reading mode button on top right. Apart from this, you have new options in the menu bar including reading list, look at the page, send feedback, View tabs, Hub collection, Share. Did you notice the Hamburger menus is all gone?
These are small, but very important updates and features that is being rolled out. I really hope the Hamburger GO AWAY thing is real and Microsoft may stick to the new way. What do you think?
