May Be, The Next Windows Phone Version Will be Windows 10 As Well

Microsoft had been hinting for One Windows platform from a long time, and they made it clear with the announcement of Windows 10, that its a unified platform for every device. That ticks in the question, will Windows Phone next update will be Windows 10 as well?

Microsoft has been dropping the branding of Windows Phone from a couple of months, and the way @joebelfiore replied back to a tweet, it looks like next major update will skip Windows Phone 9 and will be called as Windows 10. to a tweet of @HardwareNerd, he replied :

@HardwareNerd Right now tech preview is for x86 PCs. ARM devices and phones, not ’til well into 2015.

@Hardwarenerd asked Joe on the availability of Windows 10 Preview on ARM devices and Windows Phone. ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley also reported sometimes back, that developer preview of the next version of Windows will be available around Jan-February 2015. This matches with what Joe said, and its almost the time of MWC 2015, where we may get to see the new update.

We hope the next version of Windows Phone, rolls in tighter integration with OS, and apps, across platforms.
