No, Windows Phone 8.1 Roll out is not Today, Product Life Cycle Starts Today

The whole Windows Phone world is excited today. Why? Because many and most of us think that Windows Phone 8.1 will be released today and everybody is busy checking on the updates.

First Thing First, Windows Phone 8.1 is not rolling out today. Nobody said it, not even Microsoft has said it. All that was said that it will be rolled out during this time or during early fall.

So why is everybody excited about June 24th ?

Sometimes back, a search result on Microsoft Product Life Cycle website for Windows Phone, came out with this result

It said that Windows Phone 8.1 Life Cycle Start Date is 24th June  2014 and that triggered the whole imagination of this date as the Official Roll out.

So when is it coming ?

Only Microsoft knows about it and unless they nothing is going to happen.

And if the official roll out begins today, don’t expect Windows Phone 8.1 on the same day. The roll out is phased depending on many factor which can be carriers, country, handsets and so on.

If you still want it, then the best way is to get the 8.1 Dev version. It will be almost same as the final version with few things here and there.
