Still Scratching Your Head About What’s New in Preview for WP8 ? Time to get Alerts

While most of the apps, games and betas don’t tell you what’s new and even if they do, it’s when most of you reach out to the devs. Robert McLaws, a well know figure when it comes to Microsoft Stuff and .Net Platform who happens to be the CTO of AdvancedREI, has released an app which sends out alerts and details of what’s new in the Preview Program of Windows Phone 8 which rolled out GDR3 for many developers and early adopters.

While I do follow him closely on WP stuff, this was missed. So what can WP8 Preview Program Alerts do? First of all it’s not something official but a news feed, hand-picked from different sources, which know about the update or get tipped from users. As an example as of now I see sources like WPC, Telus, Official WP Blog and so on.

Every news has a bit of details from the source which gives you brief idea which can then be read in detail by following up the link to the source.  You should enable the notification if you want to get some instant notification on your phone. The app is pretty clean and there is no advertisement as well.

That said, as of now there is no way to share individual news and it’s read-only. However, you can share about the app right from within the app using the WP social network status update which can post to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and so on.
