Order a Xbox 360 Laptop

If you ever been to Xbox events, some of them have portable Xbox i.e. Xbox in a box-like thing connected to display. When I first looked at them, I was like I want one of them so I can play wherever I wanted to play. Good news is that Darkmatter Kickstarter Project is planning to build one if they get funded.

What is this project about?

It’s an Xbox 360 Laptop which uses the same Xbox 360 you play on but converted. The materials or the casing is 3D printed, laser cut. Best part is, it is open source. The display is a 720P LED Screen. You can use pre-programmed Xduino360 board for modding. You can also play movies, listen to music, TV shows that works with Xbox Live and avail all the other Xbox 360 features too.

Making Xbox completely portable makes its easy for you and your friends to actually do a LAN party or even play in small room without setting up huge arrangements.

Features:

15.6″ 720P display with 1366×768 resolution. This widescreen, backlit panel works great with the Xbox 360 display subsystem
The entire casing is 3D printed and laser cut which uses Makrbot Replicator 2 3D printers to print all parts in ABS plastic.
Custom capacitive touch interface to control volume controls, mute and sync.

If you want to pay less, there are kits available which you can use to build everything on your own. To help you with these there is an online support and Wiki to help you solve problems.
Supports all the XBOX 360 Ports along with Kinect & HDMI Connector
It has built-in 3W amp, stereo speakers and headphone jack. Since this is portable, it makes sure you play anywhere without disturbing anybody around you.

Its powered by the same power brick that is used in Xbox 360. So yeah no battery backup now.
Its going to be portable with XBOX One in Future.
