Xbox Music comes to Web, iOS and Android

Xbox Music, the music service from Microsoft which offers 30 million tracks, is now available across other platforms as well. After launching the web based service earlier this year, Microsoft is now offering Xbox Music to iOS and Android users. The web version is also improved with free streaming now available with ads. You can get free streaming on the web with Xbox Music, all you need to do is to navigate your browser to http://music.xbox.com and you’ll be able to listen to music for free.

Xbox Music is now available on iOS and Android devices worldwide, expanding the number of devices the service is available on. Now you can access your Xbox Music Pass on your Android or iPhone using the new app. The interface is similar to the web and the Windows 8 version. Right now Xbox Music web will now offer free streaming to all browsers, now open to all with ads. But after six months the web-based version will have limited hours of free streaming.

A new Web Playlist feature is built into the Xbox Music app for Windows 8.1. The tool scans for artists’ mentions on a given Web page and creates a custom playlist of their music. This feature will be rolled out with Windows 8.1 on October 18th.
