Xbox One gets Voice Message Support & Power ON/OFF with Smartglass App
Mcirosoft has started rolling out May Software update for Xbox One console which brings in three major features. First it allows you to send and received voice messages via the headset and Kinect, if you got one hooked. This update is for all the users, and was being tested with Xbox One Preview program.
The Second feature is to turn on & off the console using the Smartglass App. So, if your console is plugged in, and the source is on, you can turn it on right from the app, just like you did with your controller. Remember, if you been using the Xbox One Smartglass Beta App, this feature was already there.

Lastly, Xbox One initial setup now allows you keep the console in “Instant on” power mode, which keeps the console in a state which lets it receive updates or the “Energy Saving” mode where one has to turn the console to receive update. The former is useful when you have constantly connected WiFi. .
Microsoft says:
“Back in March, we enabled dedicated chat relay servers for Xbox One preview members to solve NAT traversal issues that prevented some people from being able to use party chat. Over the coming weeks, we will start to expand the availability of the party chat relay services beyond preview members to a broader audience as we continue to fine tune the feature and scale out the servers needed to support party chat relay services.”
