Xbox One Spring Update brings 1440p, Mixer Enhancements, Upload, Download with Edge, and more

The final features of Spring Update for Xbox One is now out. Rolling out right now for Xbox Insider Alpha Ring, the update bring some major features and enhancement for every gamer. Here is the list of Feature for Spring Update of Xbox One.

Support for 1440p Video Output

Both Xbox One X and Xbox One S now support output at 1440p or QHD resolution for games and media which gets you over a million and a half more pixels than 1080p.

A New Level of Mixer Interactivity

If you use Mixer a lot, you can now give one of your fans to play behalf of you. This is probably the biggest feature of all here. Streamers can share their entire controller (except the Xbox button) in the Xbox game they are playing, and a viewer can take control through the on-screen gamepad or by plugging a controller into their PC.

Apart from this, the Broadcasts no longer stop when you switch games, but it does pause for a moment and resumes back when you switch to the next game. Lastly, you can now start your Mixer broadcasts from anywhere on Xbox One, whether you are on the dashboard, a game’s splash screen or within a game itself. This is cool!

Edge

You can now download and upload pictures, music, and videos from Microsoft Edge on the console. All the files will be managed through the File Explorer app. You also get tab muting, read aloud and autofill.

Balance between Music & Gaming

For gamers who love to play music while gaming, can now selectively balance game audio against background music within the Guide. The system sounds at Home and in the Guide have been completely revamped to support spatial audio, so the audio cues from your surround sound system will match the actions you see on-screen.

Smarter Feeds

You will soon be able to sort your club feeds to show you “what’s hot” and “top posts.” Use the “what’s hot” filter to see trending content in the club feed that’s popular right now. Filtering by “top posts” will show you the most popular posts of all time in that club.

Option to disable comments on your feed posts across clubs, Game Hubs, and Community, so the only person in control of the narrative is you.
