Xbox Store to Let you Gift Games & Make a Wishlist Very Soon
One of the most requested UserVoice Feedback for Xbox One Store is about sending digital gifts to your friends, and family. According to Major Nelson and Xbox Platform CVP Mike Ybarra, this feature is coming very soon.
While it is still possible to send out gifts using Game Code, but then it’s one step extra process and does miss the “Gifting Emotion”, especially on holidays, and birthdays.
This question was answered by Major Nelson and Mike Ybarra in a conversation at PAX West where he also included that Wishlists are also coming to Xbox One Store. One thing is sure that if this feature comes to Xbox One, it will come to Windows Store as well.

That said, the very soon could take longer, and it will be post Fall Creators Update which is due on October 17th. In case you have signed up for Skip Ahead feature, you might get it little early, but expect this to come as next major update, and once it passes through the Insiders. Once out, this feature should become one of the core features of Windows 10 Store and Services. It should include gifting of Music, Games, Apps and so on.
WishList is something I am waiting for, mostly to know if there is a deal around it at some point in time. Microsoft may use this for advertisement purpose or simply add in an alert feature.
