Xbox Team takes on Reputation System, Rolling out for Xbox One Soon

When it comes to gaming, most of the time gamers are aggressive and things aren’t fair in gaming life as in real life. Xbox team took this seriously with the announcement of Xbox One as they shared their thoughts on Reputation System.  If you remember Xbox 360 had a rating system where users can rate you and your behavior in the community was also counted.

There are many factors to this. How you play the game, how often you quit a multiplayer game, if you been abusive over chat and so on. On Xbox One, you will have three categories represented by a speed dial on your gamer card–Good Players are Green, Yellow goes for those who are on the boundary and need to behave themselves to get green while Red like the name is completely Avoid Me types.

However, the system overall remains same because unless you are a serious gamer, you wont be reporting about another player and that puts most of the gamers into green category.

So what does reputation level mean for Orange and Red ?

  • Green / Orange or “Reputation Needs Work” : There are two levels here. One which is little above the edge while the later is on the edge. The light green is where player’s matchmaking  begins to suffer while Orange is where ability to communicate with non-followers has been revoked.
  • Red or “Avoid Me”- This is where the game becomes little dangerous. Once penalized, matchmaking pairings will suffer and you wont be able to stream your videos to twitch.
