Yatra.com App for Windows Phone Store; Most Impressive Flight Booking App of All
Extremely popular Air Ticketing Services rolled out their app on Windows Phone store today. Past few months we have noticed a huge increase in local Indian services gliding their apps on the platform, kudos to the Windows Phone India team.
Features of the App:
- Search and Book both domestic and international flights.
- The app supports special return fares for round trips making sure you are at par with those book using their PC.
- Supports majority of domestic and international airlines.
- The recent searches are listed so when you come back again, results are one click away.
- You can compare fares using the graph.
- View Baggage limits and travel insurance.
My Experience
It’s an extremely well done app, specially the design and color combinations used in the app.The first thing that will impress is when you start looking for a city. Not only it auto populates but the short codes for the cities shows up side by side to help you remember that.
When you get to see the result, peek into the Filter part. You can set the range for price, refundable option and airlines. Once you have decided and go ahead to booking, you can select your onward and returning flights based on connection time, duration and so on. Try different combinations here and you would love the way it’s implemented.
An extremely detailed itinerary detail will help you figure out your holding time, baggage limit, dates and so on. Right after the option to sign-in shows up. That’s the best way to book, but you may choose to use guest option.
Note: I haven’t booked any flight using this app, so I am not sure how it exactly works and if it’s a web-based experience or native. In case you do, let us know in comments.
