YouTube for Windows Phone Gets Major Update

Apps for Google services are missing in the Windows Phone store, but Microsoft had developed a YouTube app which didn’t have much features. But now the official YouTube app for Windows Phone (from Microsoft) has got a major update with new UI and features.

You can log into your YouTube account, explore YouTube’s vast video catalog, browse your favorite channels, and subscribe to new channels. Share videos with your friends via your social networks, email, and text messages.

The new app feature metro UI with the home screen populated with trending videos. Swipe to the left and you can browse different categories and channels. The in-built search and filters works perfectly. When you select any channel, you can see the cover photo and also all the details about the channel. You can login to your account, upload and download videos.

The video player is also improved and you can easily download any video in different resolutions. There is also option to share the videos. You can view the comments and likes for any video selected.

YouTube for Windows Phone is also integrated with Kid’s Corner, so you can ensure your kids are watching age-appropriate videos.
