YouTube App for Xbox One will Allow you to Upload Game Clips

When Xbox One announced their integration with Twitch, an online video service for gamers, I was disappointed. Being a gamer and youtuber, I would rather upload my videos on my existing channel than on a completely new service. Doesn’t matter if I want to monetize or put it for free, I have subscribers on YouTube and that’s the base line.

In its ongoing war with Google, Microsoft’s Xbox Team announced YouTube App for Xbox One recently. While that wasn’t a big surprise but the fresh announcement that the app will allow you to upload game clips to your YouTube channel directly from Xbox One, surely is.

In its post on GoPro App for Xbox One, the team also said that an update for YouTube App on Xbox One will integrate with GAME DVR upload with YouTube. This straight forward mean that you can capture your awesome gaming moves with it, edit then in Upload Studio and instantly share them to your channel. How Cool is that now!!!

You will be able to watch them in Snap Mode and earn some media achievements which was initially with Twitch. Also the YouTube Channels are added to OneGuide for quick access, next to your favorite TV listings or App Channels.

That said, there is no word on few things. First if you can choose what resolution you will be able to upload. Second if you can upload in private sharing and so on. YouTube has few settings which we would love to use if its available via the app.

Those who are wondering on the length here is the deal. Xbox One’s “Record That” feature records only 30 second clip. However, you can bring up the GAME DVR to record up to 5 minutes of video. Also using the Upload Studio, you can edit, combine various clips into a single video and add Kinect Audio and Videos. That should be more than enough for getting your videos out of Xbox One!!!
