Zomato on Windows Phone gets more Social with Food Feed

Zomato is the most delicious app you would have seen, irrespective on which platform you had used it on. Good news that it got even tastier on Windows Phone with introduction of Food Feed in their latest update to the app on the platform.

Those who aren’t aware, its one of the best way to find a place to eat, if you want to put it very simple, anywhere you ware. You can just launch the app an d it uses your location to instantly list down restaurants, bars and what not.

Food Feed:

Now back to the topic, Zomato has introduced an important feature in the app–Food Feed–which allows you to check out in real time where your friends are checking in and what is happening in your area. It display the latest review of the hotels as people experience. So now if I am an avid user of this app and use this food feed, it can literally drive me away from a hotel I was planning to based on recent activity. This is crucial for restaurants connected over Zomato and best for people like us.

Search First & List Fast:

Important to notice that Zomato adopted the “Search First” mantra in their app instead of listing what is popular as soon as you launch it.  Now you get to see a search button right in middle of the screen with a mouth watering food image in the background. I can see how Zomato emotionally attached user to their app by showing them what they want and instantly drive users to look for something they want to eat.

Zomato App for Windows Phone

The best part of the search experience is that its much faster. The result is almost instant on 3G and WIFI connection and its much faster to previous experience. I had opportunity to test both of them together and there is a huge difference.

Speed Dial for Foodies:

If you get to same place often and keep on sharing them with your friends too. Check out the Speed Dial feature which allows you to add your favorite restaurants and access them later with a snap.

It’s a well done job and kudos to the company for improving the user experience and roll out a native app for Windows Phone instead of porting from other platforms.
